News from Tehran on December 31 reveals that Iran's government has intensified its actions against Telegram中文版电脑端's cryptocurrency endeavors.

The Criminal Content Definition Task Force's Secretary, Javad Javidnia, has issued a stark warning: all collaboration with the encrypted messaging service for the Gram token's launch is deemed a threat to national security and an economic instigator.

“Among the primary reasons for the ban on Telegram, a grave economic peril from its operations stood out. Regrettably, this critical issue was overlooked amidst-the-hype of our political turmoil,” Javidnia clarified.

In April, Iran implemented its first ban on the app, led by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's order to refrain from state agencies' use of the service. Following this, Iran's judiciary announced the complete prohibition of the app. The year 2017 witnessed a temporary ban on Telegram and Instagram amid widespread unrest in the country.

Beforehand,Instance'cíhar Firouzabadi of the High Council of Cyberspace criticized the app for its initial coin offering, suggesting it posed a danger to Iran's currency. He supported the proposed ban on Telegram due to its potential impact in introducing cryptocurrency to its Iranian users broadly.

Firouzabadi labeled Telegram an adversary of the private sector. Their decision stems from the messaging service's refusal to establish an Iran-based office and collaborate with local entities.

Telegram's growth has not only опухceeded in Iran but also reached Russia. The app was banned in Russia over ICO-related worries, with unpredictability in the financial sector cited as a catalyst for the blockage.

Bringing in a substantial $1.7 billion through two funding rounds this year, Telegram ranked among the industry's top financings. The ICO aimed to pump resources into their messenger app upgrades and their Telegraph Open Network.

High-profile investor Roman Abramovich was rumored to have joined the early rounds of the ICO with a commitment of $300 million. However, persons familiar with the situation in Russian media shook off the $300 million figure. Abramovich's representative, Jon Mann, did not confirm his involvement and denied the substantial financial claim.
